Egg nog
Ingredients
- 2 pints whole milk
- 6 eggs
- 50g caster sugar
- 1 vanilla pod, split
- 20 fresh cherries, stones removed and halved
- 200ml oz brandy
- cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Place the milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla pod in a medium pan and heat gently until the mixture thickens
- Place the cherries in the bottoms of glasses, pour the egg nog over and dust with cocoa powder
Classic champagne cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 sugar cube (white)
- 2 dashes bitters
- 20ml cognac
- champagne to fill the glass
Instructions
- Add the bitters to the sugar cube and drop into the flute
- Add cognac and top with champagne
Snowball
Ingredients
- 1 lime, juiced and zested
- 3 tsp caster sugar
- 1 small egg
- 50ml Scotch whisky
- ginger ale, to top
Instructions
- Mix the lime juice, zest and caster sugar in a bowl and leave for an hour
- Mix the egg, whisky, 1 tablespoon of the lime mixture and some ice cubes in a cocktail mixer and shake
- Strain into a glass and top with ginger ale
