The other great thing about spicy foods is that they are touted to have health benefits including weight loss, cancer prevention, lower blood pressure and good heart health.

That said, we name some of the spiciest foods you might want to eat. First on the list is vindaloo. The original dish is from Goa, a seaside town in India heavily influenced by the Portuguese. Vindaloo is basically a curry dish that can be served with pork, chicken or lamb mixed with potatoes. Chilli peppers, ginger, vinegar and spice give its hot taste.

Papa a la Huancaína or Huancayo style potatoes might deceive you at first sight. After all, the dish is just boiled potatoes with a creamy sauce on top and served on a bed of lettuce and olives. However, the sauce is spicy made from fresh white cheese, evaporated milk and salt. Aji amarillo or yellow Peruvian pepper give the sauce its burning taste.
